Hydrophobic Mortar Additive
PermaDry MortarProof is a high-performance hydrophobic powder additive designed for use in cement-based mortars and renders. Formulated with modified siloxane technology, the product significantly reduces capillary water absorption in cementitious mixtures while maintaining the workability and mechanical properties of the mortar.
When properly dispersed in the mortar mix, PermaDry MortarProof creates a durable water-repellent effect throughout the cured material, helping protect masonry and plaster systems against moisture penetration.

Storage Stability
PermaDry MortarProof remains stable for up to 2 years when stored in its original sealed packaging.
Store in a dry environment at temperatures between 0 °C and 30 °C. Protect the product from moisture and humidity.PermaDry MortarProof should be premixed with the dry cement before adding mortar components and water.
After water is added, mix thoroughly for a minimum of 5 minutes to ensure uniform dispersion of the hydrophobic additive throughout the mortar mixture.
The hydrophobic effect develops progressively as the mortar cures and dries.PermaDry MortarProof is typically added at a dosage rate of:
0.1% – 0.5% by weight of cement
The exact dosage depends on the level of water repellency required for the specific application.The presence of additives containing methyl cellulose or other water-retaining agents may reduce the effectiveness of the water-repellent properties. Compatibility testing is recommended when combining with other admixtures.
PermaDry MortarProof has been tested by the accredited laboratory Modena Centro Prove SRL according to UNI EN 480-5, which determines capillary water absorption characteristics in cementitious materials.
