Silicone Damp-Proofing Injection Cream
Control Rising Damp – Advanced Hybrid System
HydroBond DPC is a high-performance silicone damp-proofing injection cream specifically formulated for brick, stone, and masonry walls. The product can be applied from either the interior or exterior of the wall to create an effective water-repellent barrier within the pores of the masonry.
Once injected, HydroBond DPC reacts with minerals present in the substrate to form a permanent hydrophobic barrier, preventing moisture from rising through capillary action. This makes it a reliable and effective solution for treating rising damp in masonry structures.
HydroBond DPC
- Easy to apply
- Virtually odourless
- Low hazard formulation
- Approximately 1 litre treats 6 metres of a 115 mm wall
- Approximately 1 litre treats 3 metres of a 230 mm wall
- Tested to meet industry standards
For optimal performance, HydroBond DPC should be installed in accordance with recognised industry best practices.
Where structural walls are in contact with groundwater or where a damp-proof course is absent, it is recommended that additional guidance be obtained from a qualified specialist before installation.- Ensure surface water is directed away from the building by repairing or installing suitable drainage systems.
- If internal floor levels are below external ground level, excavate a trench along the exterior wall face at least 150 mm below the intended DPC level, where foundation depth permits.
- Where trenching is not possible, inject HydroBond DPC at least 150 mm above external ground level and tank the internal wall below the DPC level to prevent lateral moisture movement.
- Remove skirting boards, wall fixings, and contaminated plaster to expose the injection line. Plaster removal should extend to at least 1.1 m above the DPC level.
- Drill 12 mm diameter holes horizontally along the mortar joint at 75 mm spacing.
- For single and double brick walls, drilling is normally carried out along the mortar course.
- For solid walls, drilling is generally carried out from one side only.
- For walls exceeding 350 mm thickness, drilling should be carried out from both sides at corresponding heights.
- Inject HydroBond DPC into each hole using a 1-litre aluminium DPC gun applicator, ensuring that each hole is completely filled.

Note: Certain types of masonry, such as rubble-filled walls, may require higher product volumes. Allow for approximately 10% additional material for wastage.- External drill holes should be sealed using a suitable masonry filler.
- Replace contaminated plaster using appropriate salt-resistant re-plastering systems in accordance with recommended specifications.
Injected walls should be allowed to dry for a minimum of 14 days before commencing re-plastering work.
Prior to re-plastering, remove hygroscopic salts from the masonry surface. This step is essential to prevent future staining and plaster failure.- HydroBond DPC is classified as a low-hazard product
- Lightweight impervious gloves should be worn during application
- In case of spills, clean immediately using warm soapy water
- Avoid prolonged contact with skin
